Jess is a Community Planner and now calls the North Shore home. Originally from the Kootenays, Jess grew up XC Skiing and playing in the mountains. She became an avid road racer after moving to the west coast. After a long standing interest in mountain biking, she finally dove into the sport in 2018. As a co-founder of Ellevate XC, Jess hopes to help make mountain biking (and racing!) more accessible to women, and help minimize some of the barriers she experienced entering the sport.
Hailing from the Comox Valley and am currently living in Victoria, Frederica is working on her 3rd year of Kinesiology. Originally a competitive gymnast, soccer player and cross country runner, she's always enjoyed the freedom, liberty and satisfaction sports can bring to an individual. Around 2017, she was introduced to road biking and her passion quickly shifted to mountain biking. This season will be her first racing at a national level, hoping to improve at every race. She is thrilled about the challenges of racing, how to prepare and adapt to the adversities, push her limits, learn from every race.
